Detachment and unfinished business. Ketu periods strip what is inessential — often disorienting at the start, clarifying by the end. Gains come from research, spirituality and letting go rather than acquisition.
Sub-periods
Every mahadasha divides into nine antardashas in the same planetary order, starting with the mahadasha lord's own — so a Ketu mahadasha opens with Ketu–Ketu, its most concentrated stretch. Each antardasha's length is proportional: the Ketu–X antardasha runs 7 × X's years ÷ 120.
