How starscore keeps score
starscore's rule: every prediction must be specific enough to be wrong. Each one carries the transit that generated it, a dated window, and a polarity (favorable or challenging). When the window passes, it gets scored hit or miss — by the user for personal predictions, by us for engine-level ones — and the outcome is permanent. Rescores are recorded with a note, never silently.
Scores compare against chance baselines. A vague "expect some tension this week" hits ~50% of weeks by luck; our aggregate stats say whether the engine beats that, sliced by transiting planet, aspect type and polarity. Small samples are labeled as small. The public scoreboard currently shows the engine's own record — including a fortnight where it went 1 for 3 and the misses taught us more than the hit.
What scoring is not: a claim that astrology is settled science. It is a commitment that this site will not hide behind unfalsifiable prose. If the numbers stay at chance over large samples, the numbers stay published.
Boundary: starscore is for reflection and planning, not medical, financial or legal decisions, and readings never exploit distress.
